The studio photography workshop was a great success, with everyone having lots of fun! The next Monash Photography Club event we have planned is an informal get together at St Kilda Beach. The plan is to meet at Beachcombers (near the pier) at 5PM Saturday 19th April to shoot sunset. It will be a relaxed shoot and a good chance to catch up. The pier is somewhere near the St Kilda Sea Baths, which is on The Esplanade near the cnr of Fitzroy St. To make it a bit easier to find, I've attached a map via google maps. If too confusing, please feel free to email back, or ring when you are close by.

Our next club event will be a Studio Photography Workshop, run by Adrian, who was President of the club last year. It'll be a great chance to practice using Studio lights, backdrops, and all of MPC's lighting gear. Will be a fun day with a little presentation by Adrian, followed by a free practice session, taking photos of lots of models who want their picture taken. This workshop is more targeted towards those with higher end cameras which have a flash "hot shoe". If your unsure if this workshop is for you, feel free to email me with your concerns.

When: Saturday, 5th April 2008, 1:00PM - 2:00PM (formal teaching, but hours of practice afterwards if you want to stay)

Hey all,
Just a reminder that the Great Ocean Road Trip is fast approaching. If you haven't already gotten your tickets, make sure you get them quickly from MONSU Student Services desk before they sell out!

Meet at 9am at Caulfield Shuttle Bus Stand (Clayton at 8.30am Bus Loop)
Returning at 7pm at Caulfield (7:20pm at Clayton)
Morning tea provided
Tickets cost $35
It'll be a great trip, and we'll give you guys tips on photography on the way down, stop at some great places for photo taking, and it'll be a great chance to meet other people interested in travelling on a great trip.
There will also be a workshop on Landscape/Seascape photography on Friday at 5:30pm. The room has not been confirmed yet, but we will email out tomorrow with final details.

Hey All, Welcome to the Monash Photography Club 2008. Our first event to kick off the year will the Welcome Party, which will be held this Friday at Mama Duke's at 5pm, where we'll be doing a bit of teaching, some games, and free food of course. Here are the details:
Where : Mama Duke's (On Caulfield Campus)
When : 5pm - 8pm, Friday 7th March 2008
What : Beginner's WORKSHOP, Photo Hunt Game, Free Food/Drink
Who: All members, and any friends who would like to come too!
Why: Why not :)
Other: Bring a Digital Camera if you have one (any)
It'll be a great evening, where you can get to know everyone else in the club, start learning a little more photography, and buy tickets to the Great Ocean Road trip.
We hope to see everyone there, and if you get a chance to RSVP to this email, that would be appreciated.

Photos from Med ball are now online and available for purchase!!! Prices on the site are in USD, but here is an idea of what you should expect to pay. 6x4" Print - $4USD = $5AUD
A4 Print - $8USD = $10AUD Postage/Handling = $6USD = $7.50 AUD (This is for each order, so to save on postage, get together with friends and order a bunch together)
